Introduction to class levels

Of course you can participate in any of our classes, even if the indicated levels are more advanced than your current practice. Everybody is welcome 🙂 Your physical and mental health is our biggest goal. Yoga is not a competition. The class levels listed below give you some indication what to expect. You can always take breaks and skip poses you are not comfortable with.Ask your teacher if you are not sure. We are looking forward to seeing you soon in class!

Level 0

Absolute beginner: you have participated in 0 – 10 classes and you have not taken an introduction workshop specifically targeted at beginners yet.

Level 1

Advanced beginner: you have participated in an introduction workshop for beginners and/or you have practiced regularly at least once per week for about 6 months.  You are able to/close to getting into crow pose. You are able to do a headstand at the wall.

Level 2

Intermediate: Level 1 + you have practiced at least twice per week for at least one year. You practice breathing exercises and meditation regularly, also outside the yoga studio. You are able to do a headstand without the wall. You can do a handstand at the wall.  You have participated in at least one workshop for more experienced students.

Level 3

Advanced: Level 2 + you have practiced at least twice per week for more than 2 years. You have participated in at least three workshops for more advanced students and/or you have started or completed a teacher training. You are able to help others to improve their practice.
